Uploading Files

Click on the Upload Files button to upload your files. The PDF files must be made using our settings available at: http://www.ovidbell.com/submit-a-file/pdf-assistance/. A java applet will open in a pop-up window. You must Trust the settings to upload files.

Drag your PDF files over to the upload window or click on the green plus icon to add the files

Please name the upload and click on the upload button.

A pop-up window will open displaying a progress bar.

Another pop-up window will open which displays the status of the upload including any warnings or errors. Please check this log carefully for problems.

Warnings: will be indicated by a yellow triangle icon. Please check these pages carefully. Fix and re-submit if needed. There will be a warning if a contone (photo) image is below 200 dpi. You will get a warning on a bitmap (line-art) image below 800 dpi.

Errors: will be indicated by a red X. This pages will not print and will have to be fixed and re-submitted by the customer. This is usually caused by a missing font, Postscript error or file corruption.

If you miss this window, you can always check the upload details by clicking on the History Tab, then click on the upload name to list the processing history to obtain the error log. The History Tab will display critical information such as Postscript errors, missing fonts and low-resolution images.

When the upload is done processing you can go to all pages by clicking Total or just pages that need attention through Requiring Approval. This will take you the Pages Tab.
